Terms of Service
This English version is a translation provided for convenience. The Spanish version is the official one and prevails in case of any discrepancy. These terms govern the use of Polaria. By using the service, the business accepts the following.
What the service is
Polaria is an assistant that replies to WhatsApp messages and manages appointments on behalf of a business, using the information that business configures: its services, its prices, and its hours.
The service is at an early stage and is provided to a limited number of businesses while it is refined with real-world cases.
Responsibilities of the business
Whoever contracts the service agrees to:
- Enter accurate information about its services, prices, and business hours.
- Have the right to use the phone number it connects to the service.
- Inform its clients that an automated assistant handles their messages.
- Review the inquiries the assistant refers to it and respond to them within a reasonable time.
- Not use the service to send unsolicited communications or unlawful content.
Limitations of the assistant
The assistant responds based on the information configured by the business and refers anything outside that scope to a person. Even so, it may make mistakes.
The business is responsible for its relationship with its clients and for the appointments that are scheduled. We recommend reviewing the schedule regularly, especially during the first days of use.
Availability
We work to keep the service continuously available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. There may be interruptions due to maintenance, to our own incidents, or to failures of the third-party platforms on which the service depends.
We will give advance notice of scheduled maintenance whenever possible.
Pricing and billing
During the early access stage, financial terms are agreed individually with each business and communicated in writing before any charge.
When general plans are published, active businesses will be informed sufficiently in advance and may decide whether to continue.
Cancellation of the service
The business may stop using the service at any time, with no minimum commitment or penalty. Upon cancellation, the assistant stops responding and the data is handled as set out in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend the service for a business that breaches these terms, with prior notice unless the breach is serious.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability is limited to the amount paid by the business in the three months prior to the event giving rise to it.
We are not liable for lost profits or for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service.
Relationship with third parties
Polaria is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Meta Platforms, Inc. or Google LLC. Use of their platforms is also subject to the terms of each of them.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Significant changes are communicated to active businesses on WhatsApp. For any questions, write to us through the link at the bottom of this page.
